Read on to see what this spring has in store for your sign...
The major summer news is Jupiter, planet of foreign travel, entering the sign of its exaltation; Cancer, where it will remain for one year.
When a planet is in exaltation it is said to be in an honored position and has the potential to work with greater ease. Jupiter can bestow abundance and serendipitous luck. Doors open with little coaxing bringing more fortunate opportunities. Still, one must actively put themselves in the path of situations that lead to growth.
Other planetary energies worth noting are the joining together of Neptune and Saturn in Aries revealing a new face to what is real and what is imaginary. Reality vs illusion gets a wakeup call.
Uranus enters Gemini on July 7 causing disruptions, sudden changes and reversals to plans so if you’re traveling around that time remain flexible to the best of your ability. As always, check the house position of where planets are transiting in your birth chart.
Mercury is retrograde between July 18 and August 11 in Leo, a sign that has a penchant for dramatic outbursts.
ARIES:
Stay grounded with work while Mars is in Virgo through August 6 unless you have a trustworthy assistant that can take over the reins. August through September are the optimum times for travel. The Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries is a dominant theme that colors your mood all summer. Your mood seesaws from being practical and responsible in June and July while adapting to a relaxed, escapist energy in August. Be careful of travel glitches around July 8th especially when travelling locally by car, bike or train. Surround yourself with loving family in August courtesy of the Jupiter/Venus conjunction in Cancer that colors the month. Eclipses reverse energy back to normal work routines in September.
TAURUS:
It will be difficult to separate truth from lies this summer. Trust Taurean intuition but do not form stubborn, deep-rooted opinions for they are likely to change. July and August are lovely times to travel with family and loved ones although there may be money issues that catch you by surprise in mid-July. If you are worried about finances wait till after July 10 to plan large money expenditures especially surrounding travel. Short-term weekend getaways are ideal for August. Mercury retrograde can frustrate plans especially the weekend of July 18 although its sextile aspect to Venus ensures the snags won’t affect Taurus as badly as other signs. It’s a good summer to bond with siblings. Be more introspective.
GEMINI:
Uranus burst into Gemini on July 8th. This energy enhances Gemini’s inimitable quest for information, curiosity, new adventure and spontaneity. This is a time for a sudden change of direction in an important area of life. It is essential to break out of rut. In terms of travel, I would not etch any plans in stone. his is not a summer for rigidity but for being highly flexible. Others may think you are even more scattered and flighty than usual but freedom, independence and walking to the beat of your own drummer is the name of the game.
Retrograde Mercury from July 18 to August 11 is a particularly challenging time as it coincides with the Uranus ingress into Gemini. It will be difficult to keep plans on schedule so don’t even try. Close friendships will deepen or distance as people show their true colors. You can earn good money this summer and you will need it because spending increases.
CANCER:
The summer solstice jump starts a rather lucky and upbeat three months for Cancer. Jupiter enhances the nobler qualities of generosity, optimism, confidence and hope. This is a “put on a happy face” type of energy even when faced with challenges. Problems and worries suddenly feel more manageable and fixable. Plan a once-in-a-lifetime travel excursion around July 8. More money is spent during the Mercury retrograde between July 18 and August 11.
The Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries has hopefully brought some career achievement so there is more cash at your disposal. Pay attention for when the Moon travels through water signs all summer – those are luckier days. Venus in Cancer the entire month of August brings love, abundance and harmony. September eclipses shake things up so enjoy the abundant love and affection of August

Foreign travel is bumpy this summer with the Saturn/Neptune conjunction arriving in the 9th house so it may be wiser to stay closer to home. This is a particularly volatile Mercury retrograde from July 18 through August 11 so be more cautious during those weeks with travel and communication.

VIRGO:
Virgo’s ruler Mercury turns retrograde in house 12 from July 18 through August 11. This causes unforeseen travel and communication glitches that can undermine best intentions. Positively, this can also stimulate intuition, imagination and be a wonderful time for creative writing and editing projects. Mars is in Virgo from June 19 through August 7 supplying courage, nerve, vitality and action for high energy summer activities. Jupiter in the 11th house all summer is wonderful for traveling with groups of friends and family. It is a great time to expand your social network. Be the leader in the group and they will love your organizational skills. Close personal relationships get a reality check in September.
LIBRA:
Jupiter traveling through the 10th house enhances career opportunities for ambitious Libra. Saturn and Neptune in the 7th house of marriage and partnership puts strain on relationships. It’s a summer to balance the scales between those two areas of life. Reap career rewards while putting more effort into reworking relationships. Mercury’s retrograde from mid-July to mid-August tests friendships and the ability to communicate with more clarity and less grandstanding. It is an opportune time to entertain and reconnect with friends by going to the theater or attending sports events.
Foreign travel gets an unexpected twist around July 7th and once again in early September. Go with the reversals of energy to benefit from seemingly unsettling shifts. Heal a relationship at the end of July.
SCORPIO:
A visit to the doctor early in the summer to ensure tip top health is advised to feel safe and secure for any overseas travel plans. The end of July is a particularly good time for healing and transforming the body. Work challenges also take precedence for the first half of summer. In fact, it is best to wait till planetary ruler Mars enters Libra on August 7th to escape the real world and relax through travel and adventure. The eclipses in September will force you back to reality, therefore make the month of August one to enjoy summer breezes. Broaden cultural horizons and allow new thinking to challenge old ideas.
SAGITTARIUS:
Planetary ruler Jupiter in Cancer helps to deepen intimacy in relationships. hose you care about and love the most benefit from your generosity, deeply felt commitments and loyalty. It is wise to make travel plans to explore the deeper meaning of the relationship while away from the cares and worries of the everyday world. The month of August is truly a wonderful time to bond and connect with loved ones. Even Mercury retrograde should not get in the way. In fact, it can revive romance and fun while traveling overseas, especially if the destination is a familiar one from the past. Some Sagittarians may want freedom from a loved one but if you deeply care try to work out differences and respect each other’s need for intimacy and freedom while at the same time bonding.
CAPRICORN:
Capricorns that have earned a great deal of success will want to forge new beginnings with the purchase of a dream home. If not a new home purchase than a facelift to the current one to transform it into a dream palace. There is a challenge between a spouse wanting more freedom and adventure vs you wanting to spend more time at home. Compromise is in order. Stay home in July and travel more with a loved one in August.
This summer's Mercury retrograde in Leo opens a dialogue on joint financial spending. It is a great retrograde for psychologically probing conversations. Work disruptions are another factor for keeping you closer to home in early July. August 8 is a particularly challenging time for communication confrontations. Early September continues a desire for travel before hunkering down to career matters once again by the autumn equinox.
AQUARIUS:
Explore travel options within your local neighborhood or for journeying between the country and the city. Watch for unexpected romance to bloom around July 3 and then suddenly move in a different direction on July 12. The first two weeks of July are like a roller coaster ride: full of excitement and thrills but rather unpredictable, so don’t make decisive commitments.
There is a deep family healing taking place towards July 31 that can change your perspective on the past. Mercury retrograde can illicit dramatic confrontations with your closest relationships especially around July 1, 18 and August 11. The September 7 Lunar Eclipse can bring a surprise uptick to earning power.
PISCES:
Romance is the name of the game this summer with ruling planet Jupiter in Cancer traveling in the 5th house. Single folks should have more success dating and those in committed relationships should delve deeper into the romantic aspects of love. Those energies will be greatly emphasized the entire month of August when Venus joins Jupiter in Cancer. The two most benefic planets together in a house dealing with joyful subject matters such as romance, creative self-expression, sports, entertainment, children and fun have the potential to make this a very memorable summer. This of course includes travel so get on a cruise ship and sail the oceans of the open sea or the imagination.
