Your Cosmic Guides: Summer 2026 Travel Horoscopes

As the season turns everyone needs a little cosmic insight into their lives and travels. Joseph Addeo (our RIES Resident Astrologer) brings us his insights for the spring time as guided by the stars.

Read on to see what this Summer has in store for your sign...

What an amazing summer for foreign or long-distance travel courtesy of Jupiter entering Leo on July 1: the sign of romance, fun, partying, sports, children, entertainment and creativity. The Jupiterian principle is growth and expansion and any or all those subjects can receive his blessings. In my description for each sign, I will incorporate how the subjects pertaining to the house where Jupiter is traveling can be incorporated into summer travel plans. Jupiter makes aspects to Pluto, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn in extremely harmonious ways, giving everyone the opportunity to learn more about new technologies and how to adapt to our rapidly changing landscape on planet Earth. Mercury’s retrograde in Cancer colors the summer by reconnecting with family and friends from the past to stimulate old memories and create new ones. You will learn information about something from the past that clears up a situation that has been hitherto confusing.  It’s time to communicate on deeper more sensitive levels. The August eclipses forge new creative beginnings based upon what is learned in July. Light the fire for a revitalization of creative energy.

ARIES:

Saturn in Aries is about taking responsibility to build a new life. Jupiter entering Leo in the solar 5th house is about adding creativity to all activities this summer to balance some of the burden Saturn has placed on you since February. The preponderance of Leo energy expands romance, sex, dating, fun, sports, entertainment and enjoying myriads of pleasures the earth has to offer.  Physical energy and stamina run high. The first half of July is best for travel, and the second half is about buckling down to tackle more serious matters. In August take charge of family and home in dynamic ways through entertaining and planning activities that deepen family connections. If children are important to you there will be greater emphasis on their well-being.

TAURUS:

Chiron enters Taurus this summer, heralding a time of healing the body. Pay attention to diet, exercise and understanding the physicality of life. Tactile Taurus needs the sense of touch to feel whole so if not getting satisfied in the bedroom go see a massage therapist or chiropractor.  Home, family and security issues take focus with Mercury retrograde in Cancer in conjunction with Jupiter entering the fourth house. The solar eclipse of August 12th will emphasize these topics even more.  Invite people into your home or be a guest in theirs. Even when traveling it is a deeply introspective summer but fun and games are to be had as well.

GEMINI:

Travel by train, car and bicycle gets a major boost with a shot of energy to the third house of short-distance journeys. Weekend trips to the country, seashore, or mountains that are near home are suggested. It is a good idea to take an on-line class or an in-person one if time allows. Remember summer school? This may be the year for it. Mercury retrograde in Cancer along with the abundant third house Leo energy suggests spending money on a neglected hobby from your past that can be revived for enjoyment, pleasure and creative satisfaction. Friendships will evolve and transform this summer. Some deepen and others go by the wayside.

CANCER:

Jupiter exits Cancer on July 1 and enters the sign of Leo. Foreign travel is associated with the house of money which means there will be more spending of pennies on travel abroad. This is a placement of being generous with money as well as overspending. A trine from Saturn building strongly all summer suggests caution should temper any urge to spend carelessly. Mars enters Cancer on August 12 in tandem with a Solar Eclipse. This is a highly energetic time when taking charge and being in control of matters dominate your mood. When traveling money is to be used for exploration and gaining deeper understanding and meaning of the world and your place in the bigger picture.

LEO:

This summer casts you as the star, producer, writer and director of your own story. Leo energy puts you in the spotlight, so use it to showcase your talent, creativity, love and artistic expression. Stay focused on the sign’s best qualities, as the shadow side—petulance, bullying, childishness or ego-driven cruelty—could undermine your success. Foreign travel is favored all summer, especially in early July and the first half of August. An ocean cruise or time near the water may fulfill a long-held fantasy. Life has the possibility of being like a technicolor MGM movie fantasy from the 1940s.

VIRGO:

The Leo energy for this sign is buried in the clandestine 12th house this summer. Shine your brightest when behind closed doors in intimate situations with friends and loved ones. It is not important to be the center of attention in public, but in private the Leo roar can be heard loud and clear. The seeds for a deep summer romance are planted on the eclipse of August 12th. A romance may have a profound influence, but circumstances dictate that you keep it hidden from others for the time being. You want to be sure that it has legs to grow and is not just a wildly combustible summer fling. Escape to fantasy worlds and experiences ecstatic spiritual connections. A healing microdosing sojourn may be on the agenda.

LIBRA:

Summer 2026 is an incredibly social time for this friendly, outgoing sign. The accumulation of Leo energy in the 11th house emphasizes connections with groups, teams and friends. Travel as much as possible! Romance with a long-term partner is revitalized or a new one eclipses all others. While Mercury is retrograding through July reconnect with relationships that have stood the test of time and deepen the strong bonds between loved ones. The solar eclipse of August 12th brings fortune and luck.  You look particularly good this month. This is not a summer to hibernate. Get out, travel, socialize and be seen. Relationships that light up in August will recalibrate in major ways in October.

SCORPIO:

It is a time of destiny. The pile up of Leo planets in tandem with a solar eclipse on August 12th indicates a time to reap rewards and be recognized for achievements. Power has been accumulating for a long time and August manifests rewards for a job well done or points out where further creative work must be incorporated to make things even better. If your Scorpio energy has been lazy or cutting corners, then the eclipse may not be as fruitful as you like. Mercury retrograde in Cancer for June and July is a wonderful time to straighten out details on a project that sees the light of day in August. Dot your “I’s” and cross your “t’s”. July is also the best month for foreign travel to familiar shores that bring back memories of the past.

SAGITTARIUS:

When Jupiter enters Leo on July 1st it also enters the 9th house of foreign travel making this summer one of tremendous travel opportunities that transform life in never-before-seen ways. By the end of the summer a new philosophy is in place leading to paths of growth and expansion having far reaching effects for the rest of your life. It is important to communicate a free and independent spirit with friends and loved ones concurrently with sharing intimate relationships. Anyone that restricts you from experiencing all the adventure life has to offer is to be avoided.  Find loved ones who want to share experiences without being needy and dependent. “Life is a banquet and most poor sons-of-bitches are starving to death!” is a motto that may resonate with Sagittarians by summers end.

CAPRICORN:

The 8th house is the primary one activated this summer when Jupiter enters Leo in July followed by a Leo Solar Eclipse in August. Whatever travel you experience has deep psychological ramifications. The 8th house deals with death, transformation, mergers and acquisitions. You may have to travel because of life transitions within your close inner circle. Money is also a major consideration with this house, especially shared resources. It is important to be clear and balanced about the resources each partner brings to the table. An inheritance may be at hand. Early September is an especially good time to process the events of the summer to find balance between home, family and travel. There is a deep and profound understanding of what true love is by summer’s end.

AQUARIUS:

Jupiter has entered the 7th house of marriage, partnership, socializing and networking. It is an excellent summer for exploring the world and traveling with a spouse. Open the relationship to new horizons that reignite the spark of romance, sex and vitality. If you are single this summer presents a multitude of social opportunities to connect with someone more romantically. Any kind of travel supplies abundant opportunities to attend parties and theatrical events. Be active in sports, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Your powerful presence attracts and repels others at the same time. Watch which people find you intensely interesting and which are turned off by you. It will teach you a lot about yourself. Mercury retrograde allows you to take conversations to a deeper level; conversations with others as well as with yourself.

PISCES:

All the Leo energy swims into the warm waters of the 6th house of work, daily tasks, organization and being productive. After Neptune’s long journey in Pisces its full entry into Aries signifies a time to face reality. Your ego demands to be in control and take center stage by serving with an open heart. Jupiter and Neptune dialogue in extremely harmonious ways so, if psychedelics or microdosing are forms of healing, then by all means indulge. Learn something about your mental and physical health in the process. An exotic vacation to a fantasy paradise can also do wonders to improve health. July is time to finish up an old romance and August is about starting a new one. Children and pets may be an important part of summer activities.
